Shaak Ti vs Saesee Tiin error on January 2011 Lego Catalog (french edition)

Img010
On French edition of the January Lego catalog you'll find a little mistake on page 45 (7931 T-6 Jedi Shuttle) : Shaak Ti and Saesee Tiin labels have been inversed with respect to the minifig images.

Lego and Philately

Even if the Lego trademark is so famous and very international, there is only a few number of "Lego" themed stamps.

First "Lego" stamp known was released in Denmark in 1989. Image show a Lego basic brick.

Danmarklegostamp

In November 1996, the Gibraltar Philatelic Bureau released 5 "Lego" stamps for Christmas designed by Keith Bassford. The stamps depict traditional Christmas items made up of Lego : 5p Christmas pudding (traditional in the UK), 21p Snowman, 24p Christmas gift, 34p Santa Claus and 54p Christmas candle.

Another "Lego" stamp was released in France last June for the Lego exposition "FanaBriques 2010". I will post an image of this very limited stamp very soon.

Update (January 4th 2011) :

The other Lego stamp I known is not an official release of La Poste but a personalized stamp made for the Lego exposition "FanaBriques 2010".

Erroneous Boba Fett image on building instructions of 6209 Slave I (2nd edition)

As you can see, on Page 71 of the building instructions of the Lego set 6209 Slave I (2nd edition), the image of the Boba Fett minifig does not match with the real Boba Fett minifig available on this set.

Bobafetterroronslave1

In fact, the Boba Fett minifig on the image match with the Boba Fett present in the set 10123 Cloud City released 3 years before the set 6209 Slave I (2nd edition).

Seems so big as mistake... I wonder if Lego had originally planned to use in the set 6209 the Cloud City's version of Boba Fett, but after they are returned to the other choice.

The prices for both minifig are not the same :

- Boba Fett minifig from set 6209 Slave I (2nd edition) : ~8.00 euros (available also in set 6210 Jabba's Sail Barge).

- Boba Fett minifig from set 10123 Cloud City : ~80.00 euros (only available on this set).

4049 Nesquik Promotional Set

This set is a Nesquik promotional set from 2001 that contains:

  • the three minifigs, Quicky the Bunny, Director and Cameraman (sets 4051, 4052 and 4053, respectively),
  • and a mini car for the Cameraman.

It's very hard to find this set or the Quicky the Bunny minifig in used state. The price for a new sealed set is 40 euros aproximately and the price for a new Quicky the Bunny minifig (in set 4051) is between 20 euros and 40 euros. That's a lot of money for a little brown rabbit considering that the very rares minifigs of Greedo and Watto cost that much.
